It Takes Two
If you are into video games and have been wanting to play a multiplayer game with your S/O, look no further. “It Takes Two” is THE game. I have laughed to the point of tears multiple times during the course of playing. My husband has learned the virtue of patience while playing with me lol. I mess up on purpose to grind his gears but also it is hilarious how you can wipe your character out. The premise of the game is to return the characters to their human bodies. The characters are May, Cody and Rose. Rose, their daughter is upset that her parents want to get divorced so she made doll versions of them as a way of coping. Some type of spell occurs causing May and Cody to become the doll versions. While this happens, their human selves are fast asleep and Rose is just roaming around the house alone lol.. May and Cody have to complete various missions in order to break the spell and get back into their bodies. Dr. Rakim is the witty love guru that is challenging them along the way and in turn helping them mend their fractured marriage. He is my favorite character hands down! He is shady, brutally honest, and sarcastic. Some of the things he says make me crack up, and I don’t laugh easily. The missions get progressively difficult and some really take some serious critical thinking skills. The best part is that you need to collaborate as a team to advance, one player can’t do it all. It’s awesome because you talk during the game to coach each other on what to do next and at the same time have quality time together. We spent the whole past Saturday and part of Sunday playing and we still have yet to beat the game.
If you don’t enjoy video games but your partner does, please give it a chance, trust me it’s entertaining. If you and your partner don’t do video games at all then consider finding some type of game you both enjoy. Make a date night out of it. Who said dates always have to involve getting dressed up and going out to fancy dinners? The laughs you’ll get out of it will be priceless.
And for those of you that are single, reach out to a family member or friends to have a game night. My point is go out and play some type of game, get your mind off the daily grind. Hope you guys take my suggestion!
I chose this song because it was the theme song for the Ryan Reynolds movie “Free Guy”. If you have watched the movie you’ll know his character is part of a virtual reality dimension and he realizes it at some point. This song is timeless, it always gets me in a great mood.
