Japan’s cleanliness is on another level, simply put. Streets are spotless. You won’t find overflowing trash cans. In fact, you won’t even see that many public trash cans because it is expected for everyone to be diligent with their trash. Discipline and respect is huge in Japan and the culture reflects that. Even in the subways, people were all minding their own business, no yelling, shoving or cutting people to get to a seat. As a Jersey native, this was refreshing and humbling at the same time.
